The exterior trim strips on the 1964 beetle are attached by clip and rubber seals. The clips are removed by squeezing with a pliers from inside the body. I can't access the last two or three clips which fasten the rear side trim strips (below the rear side windows). Does anyone know how to do this?

Guessing you want to do some bodywork. Can you get the trim off of the clips.? If so I am not 100% sure but I beleive you break them and then get replacements to pop back in Or the other is to break trim off and get replacement trim kits also, I have seen German "64" trim (molding) kits for about $40 .....LJ
